Who is Anonymous Da Band?

Known predominantly for their smooth urban jazz sound, Anonymous Da Band is a multi-talented band made up of four unique young men with a synergistic approach to music.  The special thing about this band is the overwhelming humble spirit that surrounds them-hence the name Anonymous.  Each member is a master of his own instrument and they come together in perfection to share their awesome talents.  The group has performed around the nation for various benefits, social events, and festivals including the Atlanta Jazz Festival, the Jacksonville Jazz Festival and the Buffalo New York Juneteenth celebration. "Da Band" was selected to perform at Prince's, Paisley Park in the first Musicology Battle of the Bands. They have also opened for the likes of Najee, Chrisette Michele, Pieces of a Dream and other top performers. The group continues their journey to success by making a huge impact on the music world!

Langston Michael  - Saxophone

Saxophonist Langston is able to pull out all the stops when it comes to performing.  At 27, the "old man of the group" has been around music since he was a baby, but picked up a horn in middle school band class-and hasn’t put it down since! Langston's musical influences are David Sanborn, Alex Han, and Mr. Maceo Parker. Langston most recently performed with the world renowned  American DJ/producer duo, Two Friends and recently opened for rap superstars, Rae Srummerd.  In addition to music, you'll find Langston on his day job as a member of the heart transplant team!

Xavier Jones  - Bass

Xavier, also known as Zay, holds down the low end for the band. This multi-talented musician started  playing drums at the age of two and became the lead drummer at CLC Praise and Worship Center in College Park,Georgia at the age of four. Although a drummer at heart, he also plays keys and has found a love for the electric bass with Anonymous Da Band. Xavier is currently studying audio engineering and has started producing songs for various artists in Atlanta.

Xavier Davis  - Keyboards

Xavier Davis can be heard bringing his own brand of fusion to the keys. Being the son of Grammy Award winning keyboardist/producer Phil Davis, Xavier brings that good 'ol downtown funk mixed with some new school ingenuity. He is studying Music Production at Georgia State University and is looking to shake up the music scene with his cerebral approach to the craft. He is heavily influenced by modern jazz groups such as, The Robert Glasper Experiment and Snarky Puppy. When producing his own music, he pulls from artists like Kendrick Lamar and Anderson Paak.  With his creative mindset and love for conversation, Xavier's band mates affectionately call him "The Storyteller".

Justice Michael - Drums/Musical Director

Well-known for his  first place wins at Amateur Night at the Apollo in NYC, Justice (aka Just Ice) is quickly becoming Atlanta’s new drumming sensation.  As the youngest member of the band, Just Ice brings some deep-rooted, complex, and awe-inspiring beats to the stage.  Justice is a graduate of University of Miami, Frost School of Music with a majot in Musicianship Artistry Development and Entrepreneurship (MADE).
